^ i don’t think the dorms are that great. i’ve been in all of them and my brother goes there and his room is supposedly in one of the best dorms. it’s also newer. it’s like a regular dorm room to me, nothing special.

my sister went there and i wasn’t impressed with her dorm either.

btw, are they bringing back the cleaning service or whatever? they got rid of it but idk if it’s been brought back

I think I am planning to live off-campus but is dorm cheaper than normal quality off-campus housing, anyone knows? I am from Iowa so I am not familiar with Washington D.C at all.

@handgrenades I KNOWWW Dude soo happy for you too, so are you going to choose American or GW haha??

yahh where is the facebook group at i have been looking for it
ugh that sucks I just paid $750 a month earlier for another school to hold my spot- my poor parents have to shell another $800

I asked for pushing back the decision reply date a month so I don’t need to pay for the deposit before I receive all the letters. you should have done so. schools earn so much money from these @.@

@jayfromla: i forgot to say goodluck on your endeavors!! I really hope you get into all your schools. I hope we both get into gwu haha. I already got into au but it all comes down to.how much i get in aid and which one looks more attractive in the end. You have an unpredictable summer this year. Haha

@ellomeno
for mine, freshman May 1st and since it is rolling basis… my deadline was May 3rd. I was going to pay for that, but that the people from this forum asked me to ask about it first, then they pushed it till May31 now… But i still want to know about how many classes sucessfully get transferred to GWU before deciding :(

@Katz101: Thanks! Good luck to you, too. I have a feeling GWU might show the waitlist some love down the road. If so, hope to see you this fall!

@ellomeno - probably GW, haha. I love American, too, and didn’t really think that I would get into GW (I saw somewhere that they don’t accept people with GED’s…I guess that must just be for freshman admits). But, especially after I toured GW, I fell in love. So happy that I’m in.

@belief - I think I’m just so in love with the dorms because, at my state school, the dorms are hideous, and at my original top pick (Barnard), the dorms are teeny-tiny. To me, having a regular-sized dorm in the middle of a cool city is a luxury, lol.

yes. I am not from DC so I don’t really know how big it is and where things are located But Georgetown has a very good repuatation. good job getting in there (: have fun!

I didn’t apply for financial aid because I am an international transfer applicant.
however, the scholarship information is actually on the same page where you read if you get accepted. I missed that the first time I was reading it lol. I got $7500 because I am in Phi Theta Kappa
