Just to get an idea of who is out there, post your GPA and what college your hoping to transfer to GWU from.

I’ll start

3.65

Transfering from College of Marin in northern California.

English Major

3.88
Transferring from Gannon University.
International Business/Affairs Major

3.13 from American University
Have you guys heard anything from GW yet?
I can’t wait to hear…

3.12 from umd, cp. bioengineer. just sent in my transfer app a week ago.

4.0
International Relations/Economics
Transferring from Iowa Western Community College

I was wondering… for the application did any of you have relationships with counselors? If not how did you have the ratings portion filled out on the official college report? Is it bad if the school I’m transferring from fills it out by checking “no basis”? I have teacher’s recommendation, but I’m not sure if they’re allowed to fill out a rating again for the college report, not instructor.

OscillateWildly, I had the same concern last year when I applied. I called admissions and was told not having a relationship for the school report is a good thing. Apparently the form is just to verify you have no record of behavioral problems. I believe I took it to the office of my college’s dean within my university and they filled it out. Best of luck!

Environmental Studies major
GPA (College) 3.89 at a CC, but with rigorous coursework 20 credits/ qtr w/ full time work
ACT 28
EC’s respectable (track/CC captain, theatre, volunteer w/ special olympics…my work is what I spent most of my time doing)
Essay felt really well organized - concise yet descriptive

I was wondering about the counselor form too…I withdrew from my classes at my first university attempt before I joined the military, but it was a full time enrollment so I had to submit it. Hopefully they see growth since then and credit me for that :D
