So i've gotten accpeted to both schools under Pre-Med major. But i don't know which one to accept my offer to...any ideas?

GWU-city campus, many of the students come from wealthy families, great school, gives a lot of merit money, not much school spirit

PSU-State College is in the middle of nowhere, students are down to earth, friendly and very involved, almost no merit money, great school, and increbible school spirit

knitkneelionmom - first of all, love your screen name. GO PSU! so cute :) its just like mine, quartknee = courtney.

anyways, knitkneelionmom hit it on the head. its all about where YOU want to go. a city? or the middle of nowhere?

they're both good schools, just with different atmospheres and you'll get a much different experience at each school.

have you visited the campuses? if not i highly suggest it :)

personally, i looooooooove pennstate. i mean honsetly, have you ever heard a single pennstater say they hate it? haha

GW has an very highly regarded medical school. The hospital is excellent and affords many undergrads amazing opportunities to research and intern. Because GW is in the city there are so many venues for a premed student to check out. DC is a fabulous city to study, learn, live, and explore. Being at GW also gives you the chance to be involved in som many wonderful prorgrams and experiences. The student body is filled with bright, interesting, motivating, and enthusiastic students. I am not very familiar withPSU, so I can't offer you a comparison. However, why aren't you looking at Pitt? All of their medical options are highly regarded and most are nationally ranked. UPMC is an amazing medical facility with research opportunites for students. So, if you don't want to pay the high fee of GW, consider Pitt. I think they are ranked closely nationally. However, Pitt's known for its medical options(dentistry, PT, OT, premed, nursing, health sciences, pharmacy)- so if you are at Pitt you can specialize and apply into these selective programs.

nurse made a good point - you should look into pitt.
