S accepted EA. Anybody else planning to attend? Waiting for a couple of Ivys but this is his first choice. We are protestants, think he will have difficulty fitting in?

With the whole religion thing probably not, Jesuits are like liberal Catholics. So theres still the tradition of Catholicism but there accepting of all different types of people.

ya religion at gtown doesnt really matter… my tour guide was jewish and if jews and catholics can get along im sure a protestant will be fine. I’m in a similar situation as you… waitin on gtown and ivy responses and im just gonna decide from there. Don’t make any decisions till you have all of the info though.

I’m hoping religion doesn’t play a big factor, seeing as I’m not very religious myself. I’m in the same boat as your son. Good luck!

My tour guide was an atheist and he said that there is no religious pressure at all because the university is so diverse that you don’t really see any difference from other colleges…He was a transfer.

^^ Well that’s good to know :)

On our tour they pointed out the Rabbi’s office and commented they were the first US University to have a full time Muslim cleric on staff. The Jesuit tradition has always been one of tolerance.

my alumni interviewer said that the religion aspect is only there as much as you want it to be. i was accepted too (yay) but still waiting on some others as well. btw what is a hoya??

Hi there

Can anybody advise which College is better for someone who has plans to take a Liberal Arts degree, but is undecided. He enjoys Theatre and Economics. Which University is better for these 2 options?
One hears that USC is very much a jock school, and the social life revolves around Greek, and is mostly about drinking. Is that true? How good is the social scene at either of these Universities?
Finally how easy does one get accepted to do a graduate degree by an Ivy League University, coming from either of these Universities (assuming that the grades are high and similar in both Colleges)? Thanks!

did georgetown send a ‘not’-enrolling form in addition to the enrollment agreement form? i can’t find it anywhere and i don’t know if it’s rude to call the admissions office when it’s already so close to the deadline saying that i’m not going there…
