Feedback and chances would be greatly appreciated

hey guys! I’m a freshman at Georgetown and everything will be okay! I was deferred EA and then later accepted RD so don’t worry!

@ineversleep

Thank you for the encouragement. Do you remember roughly what your GPA/SAT/ACT stats were that got you deferred and eventually accepted? Thanks in advance. (And congratulations!! How’s your first year going?)

Can someone chance me? I know we are all just guessing, but I need something to carry me through. :wink: I am also applying to Wellesley, Mcgill, and Oberlin. Thanks folks

How about we keep the chances in the chances forum

Has anyone heard yet?? I know that decision day is technically 12/15, but from reviewing comments from previous years, it seems like they usually inform a little bit earlier.

@CeliaAP I don’t think anyone will know before the 11th

@jackrabbit14 8 more days! Thank you!

Has @jackrabbit14 or anyone else heard (beyond speculation) about the date that letters will be mailed out? I’ve heard that in past years they’ve mailed letters on the 11th, but I haven’t heard anything concrete about this year.

Can we make this thread less stats and more talking? EA applicants are nearing decision day and I don’t think it makes anyone feel better to just see other people’s stats. Let’s distract ourselves from focusing too much on when the mail is going to come in!

Does Georgetown email you if you have gotten accepted or deferred for EA? Or do you have to wait till you get something in your mail?

@Happiness365 I’ve heard that domestic applicants receive mail (not e-mail) and int’l applicants receive an e-mail.

I think that’s correct^

I heard the early action letters are coming out on the 15th of December. Anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks! @2016senior2020 @jackrabbit14

@ravensnick letters are supposed to arrive on the 15th, so they’re shipped out a couple days earlier. depending on the postal service, you’ll get them before or after that. Seeing as I live across the country in California, I’m probably going to be waiting an eternity lol

Yikes! I live in Maryland, so I guess there is a chance I get mine early.

I cannot believe how close we’re getting! Three and a half years of hard work, all culminating into one letter…
