***GEORGETOWN 2020 WAITLIST THREAD***

CT

Ugh I have no idea, I’m not even sure if people who are only getting letters/emails have been accepted at all :frowning:

A one page thin letter is probably not a good sign, but if that’s the case , at least you will finally have closure. Hopefully I’m wrong though.

@DREwwwwww you received something in the mail today?

It was a no! I’ll be going to Williams college in the fall. I knew even if gtown accepted me it probably wouldn’t of changed anything

@nsliyromanov Williams is an impeccable school, congrats!!! Georgetown’s loss

Thank you so much. I’m feeling alright, I knew when I was waitlisted that the chances got much slimmer

@peony119 I agree. I did the online form within 10 minutes of getting the letter in the mail and haven’t ever gotten a confirmation email.

Letter in the mail. It was short, no Georgetown for me but oh well. I’ll try for grad school maybe

@admitmemaybe what state are you in? I am sorry

@NickDS Maryland, I live like 40 mins from Georgetown. And it’s ok, just wasn’t meant to be.

Has anyone on the west coast gotten anything in the mail today?

@nysliyromanov That was the most upbeat reaction to a “no” I’ve ever seen. You’ll tear it up at Williams!:heart:

@JGLASS18 I’m in the AZ, but I won’t know if anything arrives for several more hours

Where have you guys deposited?

canada. I don’t think i will receive a mail today. maybe an email

Put on the extended waitlist, I live in Florida. Committed to UC Berkeley and will stay on the waitlist. Does anyone have stats on this?

@fflzataraa they usually put 100 people on the extended waitlist and then about 75 opt to stay on it; around 25 people get in from those 75

Rejected as well. For some reason they sent me two rejection letters. Optimistic me thought that two letters meant good news and that one was an acceptance to mail back. Oh well, Johns Hopkins for me. There’s always Georgetown for grad school. Congrats to anyone who got in- I wish you the best!

@SteadfastSoprano haha I had my heart set on Georgetown from the beginning. But then I unexpectedly got in to Williams, stayed overnight, and really loved it. Good luck to everyone here, thanks for being that anonymous support group!
