***GEORGETOWN 2021 WAITLIST THREAD***

It varies from year to year. Some years they don’t take any, like SFS last year :frowning: fingers crossed

Sorry - I mean how many would you guess are actually on the waitlist?

And do you think they’ve already ranked them?

@ahliu138 Don’t give up hope! Acceptance rates can fluctuate wildly year to year. I don’t remember which school it was(I think nursing), but one of them went from 4% to 28% acceptance rate in one year!

I just want to be done with college decisions and move on fully committed to a school. Waitlists make me so anxious. Still praying for an acceptance, but at least I can move on if I get rejected. Hopefully, I don’t get the extended waitlist

Hmm I wouldn’t be able to guess a number, but I know they don’t rank beforehand

You’re right, they do vary a lot. And same, I just want to know where I’ll be going for sure. Extended waitlist would suck :frowning:

Do you guys know how international students get notified about the waitlist? Do they also get a call?

Will GT call if they get accepted from the waitlist and a letter if rejected?

Has anybody received a call or email with an offer to move off the waitlist yet? If so, for which school?

No, but I heard GT started calling yesterday and so did Northwestern

@Gt2017 who did you hear that from?

not from georgetown, but i got off of berkeley’s waitlist yesterday

How long will GT give people to decide before they move on to others on their waitlist?

@WLGT2021 usually 24 hours why? Did you get off the waitlist?

No. And I have not heard of anyone who has yet. I’m just wondering how quickly after wave 1, they’ll go to a second wave.

Do people get accepted by letter with no phone call or are all acceptances called first? Phone calls started around this time last year, so hopefully they’ll start tomorrow?

Looking back at previous years on College Confidential it seems they call and email initially and then follow up with a written letter.

In previous years most offers came out 5/15. They must have a meeting the day before and decide then who they will contact.

from kids who got calls.

Did any of you write a LOCI?
