Not to be overly positive, but I’m around 90% sure that Georgetown is mailing tomorrow. April 1 is the default line for a bunch of schools until they decide to finally say the actual date (or just release decisions out of nowhere). People always calls the admissions office on the day that decisions are coming out (without knowing this yet) and are still given the April 1 line at several universities and colleges.
I don’t see why they would break the pattern this year, but you never know. We’ll most likely know by 4:15 pm tomorrow or so if they’re being mailed tomorrow.
Also, mailing letters out on April 1 (as a poster mentioned) is kind of risky because it takes a few days for some people to get their letters. That’s really pushing it for people to make plans to attend admitted students weekend as well as for making a decision by May 1. Many students will be visiting schools during this time, and I just don’t see how Georgetown would possibly go through with sending letters on April 1 knowing it may be inconvenient.
@justliviglife I agree, based on everything you said and what they’ve done over the past few years I’ll be really surprised if they don’t go out today.
That being said, there’s also the snow to consider, and the fact that their admissions team is probably really busy right now with all of the EA admits on campus today and through the weekend… so who really knows what will happen
Yes, but they usually mail them out the day that admitted students weekend starts. Pretty sure they’ll be mailed today, but i guess we’ll find out later
Just checked postage. First class letter is 50 cents. For each additional ounce, it’s .21. These are new 2018 rates. So for those who have informed delivery, I am thinking .50 is rejection and. 71 is acceptance.
