Hi everyone. I didn’t see a waitlist thread so I thought I’d start one up.
I was waitlisted at the McDonough Business School. How about everyone else?

My D was waitlisted for the College of Nursing and Health Studies. She already signed up for the waitlist. 9% got off for her college last year, and 28% percent got off in 2016! That’s a lot, I think. It’s all uncertain. While I don’t have a problem with her going on any school’s waitlist, the problem I can foresee is that we have demonstrated need. And need is often not met when you are given a spot off of a waitlist. So, we’ll cross the bridges as they come.
Thanks for starting this thread.
My S was waitlisted for Georgetown College. Waiting for the remaining college admission decisions before deciding to sign up for the waitlist.
Waitlist at the Georgetown college. I got rejected from my first choice ED and Georgetown was my second so I’m definitely staying on the waitlist- unless by some miracle ivy day goes well for me tomorrow (doubtful). Does anyone know how many people were waitlisted this year? I know that hardly anyone gets off the waitlist and those that do usually have low financial need, so I’m not feeling too hopeful
Son waitlisted for McDonough Business School (EA → Deferral → Waitlist).
Also waitlisted for MSB. Does anyone know how many were waitlisted?
Waitlisted for McDonough. Anything I can change or add that might better my chances?
Waitlisted at Georgetown College. 4% Acceptance rate apparently, What do they look at for waitlists?
We went through this last year with my son. He was waitlisted by Georgetown (G. College, Poli Sci major). They mailed him a letter around May 15th saying that they were not taking him off WL at that time, but were offering a small number of students a spot on the “extended waitlist”. He chose to stay on the EXL. Meanwhile he accepted at GWU after doing an accepted student day, lined up a roommate, starting choosing classes. He then got contacted on June 6th by email from an admissions rep basically asking that if they accepted him off EXL would he definitely accept. He did not qualify for FA and of course Georgetown does not do Merit Aid. At that point he decided to stick with GW and the 25k merit scholarship they gave him. He is extremely happy there. But if Georgetown is your dream, don’t lose faith, it could still work out!

@yellowgreenred a couple thousand and maybe like 1000 will accept
D waitlisted at McDonough Business School. Good luck to everyone!
Waitlisted at the College. Took myself off the waitlist, since I’ve committed to Penn. Good luck you guys!
Congratulations and good luck @summerhazed
How do you respond to the waitlist? I found out that I was waitlisted from my interviewer and still don’t have an official email (international) from Georgetown
@lifewithemily06 Your email/mail will have the instructions! Maybe you can call the admissions office as well to ask about the situation!
Based on the stats about waitlists, is it safe to assume that MSB and SFS people don’t really have a chance of getting off?
Hey everyone- for the wait list form it says you need an applicant ID. Where is this on the wait list notification form? Also when do we need to accept the wait list spot by?
Could someone please post the link?I misplaced my letter
@houston12356789 I think if you call admissions you could probably find your reference number + the link for the waitlist! They want you to reply by April 15th.
