Georgetown 2022 Waitlist

just called admission, they mailed out on Friday. It is kinda weird that I haven’t received mine yet. I live in Maryland.

Out of curiosity - if one receives the admission from the waitlist, what is the timeline for accepting or rejecting? Does the timeline accommodate delays in receiving the letter in the mail? We have not received anything yet, but I am curious. Thanks

Okay so I haven’t received my letter so I just called them and they gave me my decision right there on the phone (that no one was admitted from the WL at all this year) and that all letters were mailed last Friday so if you have not received one, then there is an issue with the postal service.

@colleges2022 , thank you for reporting this info. Something is weird with the mail then because we don’t have issues where we live, and we should be a 2 day delivery time. That would mean it should’ve arrived on Monday. That’s 2 extra days and still nothing. I will see if my daughter wants to call them after school.

Did you happen to ask by chance if there was an extended waitlist this year @colleges2022 ? They always have one. Would be surprising if they didn’t keep one this year.

Thanks again.

They said that if spots by chance do open up over the summer, then they will look at the waitlist, so not sure if they mean extended waitlist or the regular one. @Winky1

My D called and was told what everyone else has been told. They couldn’t go to waitlist.

Best of luck to all wherever you are attending!

@Winky1 where is she going?

University of Pittsburgh, @privatebanker . Has been accepted into their Physician Assistant program. Honors College, merit $. It’s all good.

She does have to hear from Cornell, but that thread has been very quiet too.

My nephew loves Pitt and not a little. Crazy loves. Will be a jr. next year in business school. Has an incredible paid internship this summer with an International rowing manufacturer They are even sending him to England for a few weeks.

He came over this week s and brought me a Pitt tshirt. I will wear it with pride!

And honors college. Very impressive. Pitts on a huge upswing.

Congrats. Glad it’s over myself.

Thank you @privatebanker . We are really excited. Cutting edge medicine in Pittsburgh. Good for your nephew - sounds amazing!

was this for the college or for every school? what about nursing??

@houston123456789 , they looked her up and told her the news. She applied to NHS, but she got a general statement from admissions, as if it applied to whole university.

Maybe we’d get more perspective if @mal531 chimes in about the phone call she had. Mal?

Ok, little update. Her letter came today, and for those who wonder about these things, her letter was posted marked 5/15. That is only Tuesday. So her getting it today on a Thursday is totally normal for our mail delivery. Some people have been told that the letters all went out last Friday, and that’s not the case. So for those of you who still have not received mail, just know your letter may not have gone out, or it was mailed later that others.

rejected. I am going to #NYU 2022, wish everyone good luck!!!

We haven’t received a letter here in CT either, but doesn’t really matter, even if accepted, my daughter is going to UCONN honors program, she is at orientation right now and just texted me how awesome it is!

That’s great, @cath102. Congratulations. To you too, @remo33 .

Hi friends, I’ve been following along with this thread but this is my first post. This thread has supported me emotionally through the stressful process, knowing that I was not alone. So I am imputing some updates.

I received my waitlist decision letter in CA today, reading “the Committee did vote to include you among a small number of candidates invited to remain on an Extended Waiting List until June 30.” So although it seems that the class of 2022 is overenrolled/full, the extended wait list is still a possibility.

For those who still haven’t received their letter, my envelope was post marked on 5/15, $0.47 postage, with a clear window.

I hope this news is helpful to some and I’m excited once again at the opportunity!

By the way, I applied to NHS.

@SleepyHead2022 , congrats. You should be really pleased. I figured they had an extended WL, but you are the first to share this information. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you.

Hi all, this is from a Hoya article. Hopefully this gives NHS applicants some hope and clarity to all others.

Read the extended waitlist and nhs piece carefully. He said they don’t expect to use it at all. Almost a zero chance. And they are hoping for summer melt for the first time ever to bring the numbers back in line. Not to go to waitlist like usually. It’s over folks.
