You can go to usps priority mail and check to see how long it will take to mail to your location from DC.

probably no earlier than the 15th and no later than monday, but it depends on how far you live from DC. I live in PA, so hopefully saturday!! does anyone know if they’re express mailed?
If it’s priority express it says overnight but I wouldn’t bet on it esp considering these were sent in bulk.
Does anyone know if Georgetown sends out emails for international students? I heard they do on the 15th in case we don’t get the letter by then but I didn’t find any information on their website… I don’t expect to get the letter anytime soon so an email would be nice.

I was admitted last year RD to Georgetown (and I’m here now). I’m from the UK - I received both a letter in the mail as well as an email to check I’d gotten my admission decision. The other internationals here had the same thing (though many got the email before the actual letter!). Best of luck - and I’ll see some of y’all at GAAP.
Does anyone think its possible to get in with a 1390 sat? I know its holistic review but that score is causing me stresssssssss
also, does anyone know what the acceptance leer looks like? Like what does the first line say? I’ve heard it doesn’t flat out say congratulations at the beginning.

I have the same score but a lot of other stuff goes into it like ACTS, subject tests, essays, etc. so there’s a chance.
I looked up the admissions letter and it will start with “it is my pleasure to inform you…”. These next two days will be the longest of my life! I’m hoping my essays will carry me through, I sent hours on them
I saw that Georgetown is ranked #22 by US News & World Report, which is very good. But when you look at its world rankings (like by QS, THE, and ARWU), Georgetown’s ranking averages about #250 in the world.
Does anyone know why the school’s reputation is mediocre overseas? Thanks!
It’s not mediocre overseas. You can’t go by those rankings.
Most college rankings are inaccurate and don’t show a full picture of the school.
What rankings do you recommend? Even the highly respected USN&WR ranks Georgetown #289 globally.
