Nothing in SoCal today.
I got accepted too! Hooray!!
Congratulations!! Which state @NVAIndiandude ? I want to know how far the mail has gotten so far haha.
My guess is north Virginia?
Accepted to Mcdonough school of business!
- SAT 1580
- #1 / 174 in my class (4.66 weighted gpa)
- okay interview (only lasted about 10 minutes as interviewer seemed kind of rushed/uninterested)
- solid extracurriculars and community service involvement – but I think what really helped me were my essays, which I believe were pretty strong (I have had a good share of severe medical issues in my life so that gave me something good to write about for one essay in particular)
got my letter in the mail tonight (I’m in the Baltimore, MD area)
Has anyone in the Chicago area received a letter?
@coco26 I’m in northwest Indiana about an hour from Chicago and did not get the letter today
Anyone have any tips on how to deal with getting deferred? I’m kinda bummed and I’m not quite sure where to go from here.
anyone who gets deferred needs to remember that they are still a fabulous applicant and this decision doesn’t define them as a student or a person by any means. You will get through this, I promise.
Are you positive about that?
does anyone know if the acceptance letter specifies which school you are accepted in, and if not, is the acceptance basically acceptance to the school we specified in our app? my letter just says welcome to Georgetown University, not any specific college.
@go1617 @NVAIndiandude @cristiano10s
@Mamabear03 The letter had three sheets of paper in it.
@stressball13 there is a post about that on the board somewhere, more tips for how increase your odds for acceptance, but check it out. General deferrals not school specific.
Stats:
SAT Scores: 1540 and then 1570
Subject Tests: 800 Math 2, 800 World History, 690 Literature
GPA UW: 4.0 GPA W: 4.95
Rank: 7/500
Essays, Recs, and Interviews were all 7 or 8 out of 10, nothing special.
Nothing in Portland, Oregon today. Not much of a surprise given the distance
does anyone plan on calling to get their decision or just wait it out for the letter?
@chillbean, look at the “Enrollment Agreement Form” at the bottom you will see your name and the school into which you were accepted.
Reading this forum has me feeling more anxious. So many deferrals it seems…
No news yet in East Tennessee. Monday couldn’t come soon enough.
Lol amen to that! Although it’s only 12% acceptance a lot of deferrals makes sense…
Will the acceptance letters be delivered today also?
