Georgetown 2023 Applicants Discussion

im in los angeles but i’ll be out of town until april 3rd, do u think i can just call them for my admission decision?

Does anyone know how you’re able to tell what stamp is on the envelope through informed delivery?

@FrenchHorn240 medium sized red numbers on the top corner of the envelope

@kerlykerls I’m pretty sure you can call them on April 1st and they can tell you over the phone! im not positive tho

Sorry just realized I actually do have a green box! I applied RD, submitted additional info in mid-February. Don’t think it means anything though

Hey where do you see ur green box at

@CyMax2001 “If you have already submitted your application, please use this form to make any application changes or updates, or to withdraw your application.”

“this form” is hyper linked. when i click it my name is in a white font on a solid green box

My son deferred from EA so no green box… we did updated our account with mid term grades and some other important information to be added to the application

Ummm I think this is probably just a me-problem but I can no longer find the application portal. can someone please provide the login link? thank you!!!

Same here :0

@CCUser137, it is not just you. See @kcgeorgetown post #690 in this thread. It seems that if you applied REA and submitted all of your materials, you can no longer access the portal. At least that is the case with kcgeorgetown and me.

Intriguing… on my application portal I no longer see the Green Check Marks confirming that they received my supplement materials. This must’ve happened recently as I saw them a few days ago; has this happened to anyone else?

Hey guys, hate to be a pessimist, but someone at my school said she called admissions and they said “next week.” I also noticed on this thread that for REA decisions, Georgetown Admissions tweeted at 9:22AM on December 13th: “decision letters early action applicants are in the mail” Keep checking Georgetown Admissions’ Twitter.

Last year they tweeted about RD around 4pm central soooo

Last year on 4th Friday of March (the 23rd), admissions tweeted “Hey Future Hoyas! Decision letters for the Class of 2022 were mailed out from the Hilltop today. Hoya Saxa!” at 448pm, so I would not expect anything other than a late day notification of a mailing if anything.

I think with EA my son got his letter a couple of days after, we live in the West Cost

I’ve had the 26th marked off on my Calender as a key Date for admit announcement for Georgetown for a couple weeks now and I forget how or why. Guessing they send on the 26th and they start arriving thereafter.

Good Luck to Everyone

I think it would be different for them to mail so late into the cycle, like March 26. Last year, they mailed on the first day of Hoya Saxa weekend for early admissions. Most years they mail this Friday–a week ahead of Ivy Day so that their decision comes in the mail around the same time as the electronic Ivy Day notices come into email. Not sayin I know what they will do but I wonder if the admissions scandal is causing a delay in the decisions getting finalized. If they don’t go out today then it is a break from past years I think anyway.

I think they will tweet when Jack the Bulldog goes to mail the letters. That is what they normally do. Keep checking Twitter.
