<p>Self-reply: Apparently yes, it is bad news if you haven't heard from MSB already. Called in today and found out I am "probably not going to be admitted" with a "chance" of waitlist.</p>

<p>That's terrible! :( I was thinking that acceptances had gone out till the 16th or so (reviewing last year's thread). All this bad news is a lot to take! Hope Penn offers a change. </p>
<p>How sure are you about this? Did you give you're App ID # and all or was this a worker over there that was feeling a bit sadistic? Nspeds or any g-towners, couild you confirm this?</p>

<p>Reachin, I gave my name, birthday, and the school I applied to. I spoke to the "admissions officer on duty" who then put me on hold, checked with a woman who is reviewing the MSB files, and then gave me the word. I half-suspect there could be something to the "sadistic worker" theory just because of how she phrased it half-positively: "I just spoke to her, and she said it's likely that you will not be admitted..." Imagine taking this in word by word over the telephone, and logically you just think you're getting in as soon as you hear the word "likely," LOL!</p>
<p>Who knows. I am not terribly surprised though, because I have two particularly weak grades on my transcript (C+ in Calc 1 and C in Principles of Management) which would be pertinent to the business school. And overall I have a 3.58 after three semesters at a small private school in New York's Westchester County which holds about as much weight to its name as a good community college. So I actually have to take it as a good sign that she went so far as to say "maybe waitlist," considering that these factors would tend to point to me as a weak business school candidate (I got in with a breeze at BU's business school, too).</p>

<p>Matt32, i dont think that is right that if you havent heard from MSB yet it means you are rejected...last year my friend heard fro them on June 1 and got in..the other guy heard from them June 8 and also got in.dont know how last one happened though</p>
