Nope, College and MSB only. No SFS as of yet.

Georgetown!!!! yayyyy!!! got in!!!! got my decision by fone- CAS- said they sent out my acceptance letter yesterday-

o yea, decisions are definitely going out in waves- that's what the person on the fone told me, so there's nuthing like they're saving rejections for last-

And as far as I can tell, no rejection letters.

bumpity, if you don't mind, could you post your stats?

is it true that the library is only open until 12 during the week? could that be right

stillhoping,

at my school library is open until 2:00am during week days..and midnight on the weekend

oh sure, but just as a point of note, I don't think it was my stats that got me in-

Sophomore Transfer
Top 50 LAC
International Student
Major-Econ/Polisci- Minor in International Studies
SAT I-700V,710M
SATII-780W,710MIC,680LIT
College G.P.A-3.92 (after two semesters)
High School- Top 10% (had some nasty grades though, was kinda caried away at somepoint in high school)
High School ECs- Really involved- President of the Press Club, President Philately, (really lazy to write them all but my high school ECS were really good)
College ECs- Exec Board Member Econ Society, News Editor Econ Journal, Mentor for Junior High kids, Undergraduate Research/Ind.Study, Writer, College Newspaper, Student Government Senator, Model United Nations, etc--
Recs- I think I had really really good recs from my professors- they were my friends and mentors so they knew a lot about me- I think I also got a really good rec from my dean of students

HOOKS(if any)- I still don't know what a hook means, but I do know that I had an African theme in my apps which I think is what has been helping me so far in my admission to schools- In my home country, I was actively involved in politics and wrote scathing articles against our authocratic presidency-I also want to be a social entrepreneur in Africa and I got my mentor(who is a big time social entrepreneur in Africa) to write a rec for me- I think the rec further bolstered the African theme-
Don't know if this counts as well, but my high school is a top Jesuit high school in Africa-

I also took really challenging classes this semester and did well in them- For all its worth, (maybe it made a difference, maybe it didn't) I got a friend to write me a rec- I thought the rec was unique as my friend clearly dwelt on the importance of my research project which could have passed for a 400 level class and further elaborated on the African theme-

Hope this helps-

Gud luck everyone!

whyyyy can't they just send out all the letters at the same time? then we wouldn't have to spend all this time speculating...ugh, oh wellllll.

Anyone know what the deal is with getting our decision by phone?

I called and the woman who answered said they had no decision entered for me yet, but she didn't say "we don't give out decisions by phone." I had the feeling that if she had known she would have told me. But i applied SFS, so i guess they haven't finished with us yet.

anyone hear anything today?

has anyone who was accepted received their credit evalutation yet?

A tentative credit eval should have arrived with your acceptance. That is what happened last year.

nspeds, i believe that may have been because you got your packet toward the end of the month. they told me they meet at once and go over them all at once, so we should be hearing soon.

I sent an email about trying to fax in second semester grades cus they raised my gpa pretty significantly...they said the committee had finished meeting sooo...

That should mean that the decisions should be sent out fairly soon. I hope they don't withheld the letters because that is just simply mean. BTW does anyone know if 6/1 is the last day they send out letters or last day that they expect you to receive a letter?

No biggles. Georgetown is very generous with credit, and it is easy to negotiate if a course does not transfer.
