I was accepted to Gtown this week EA!!! I will be hearing from BC and Notre Dame tomorrow....

Gtown is my number one choice, but I'm wondering if I should still send in apps to my other RD schools to compare financial packages, although many of them only offer money on need-base. I am really hoping Gtown will meet 100% financial need like they say they do.

Should I still apply to "safeties" even though I totally don't want to go to them just so I can show gtown how much other schools are offering me to try to persuade them to offer money? I don't know. What should I do?

Yes, it is EA restrictive. That means you are not allowed to apply anywhere else early decision. I spoke with admissions counselors at all three schools to clarify that I could apply to all three EA as long as I didn't apply anywhere else binding. It is common to apply to all three early action.

If you need significant aid, you should still apply to other schools. While Georgetown meets need, they may define it differently than other colleges.

That way, you can make a better decision with respect to aid/merit aid.

I don't think it would be appreciated to say to the financial aid office, "hey look i applied to these other schools and they offered me more money. want to change your offer?" But if you think that money is a big issue, then maybe it wouldn't be bad to apply to other schools that might give you more money, but don't use it to try to con gtown into giving you more. I feel like gtown is very generous with financial aid- plenty of my friends get aid.
Choose Georgetown, it's the best!

If I were you, I would apply RD to the other schools. If Georgetown knows that you're getting a better financial aid offer from other schools, they may try to beat it.

i don't think it would be "conning" gtown to ask for more money if other schools offer more...they can simply say no. it's common for students to negotiate fin aid packages, no?
