Georgetown and George Washington

I’m currently a junior at at a public school in Pennsylvania and I’m really hoping to get into Georgetown University to study political science. I’dd be fine going to George Washington, but Georgetown would be preferred. I’m worried my SAT is too low so I’m hoping my extra curriculars make up for it. The theater and journalism are my strongest by far. I’m just concerned that the journalism will look too much like a job while I think of it more as an educational thing. I plan to really push my acting in my application through my essay. Are schools like Georgetown looking for strong actors or people with an arts focus or will they really only care if I want to major in Theater? I’m also a little worried about my courses. I’ve taken the hardest social studies and english courses available since freshman year, but I’ve only take the honors and CP Math and science classes while there are AP’s available to me will they care a lot about this?

I’ll have very strong recommendation letters and hopefully some great essays. I have yet to look into anything about interviews yet, but I’m definitely going to do them.

You have to raise your SAT scores, especially since Georgetown only looks at M+CR. George Washington is a match tho.
