I am a current sophomore, with Georgetown being my first choice at the moment. However, there is another person in my class with a higher GPA who also plans to apply to Georgetown. Will this hurt my chances in any way? Will we be compared against eachother? Thanks!
However I am a legacy, which the other applicant is not, I don’t know if that effects this in any way.
There is no quota from schools. The numbers are only one part of the application. Each application is reviewed independently. Legacy can be helpful, but it is not determinative. Focus only on yourself, not others. And spend time researching a bunch of schools that you would love to attend. Never put your hopes and dreams into one school. No single school is a magical place where happinesses and success is guaranteed.
Agreed. No college has a min/max/quota per High School.
