Georgetown Application...

I was just reading it and I have a quick question: when applying to the "College" undecided, can you then not go into a major in science or foreign language? The application implies to me that there are three categories (almost sub-schools): Undeclared, Languages and Linguistics, and Sciences.

Can someone please clear this up for me?

Bump..please, no one?

I'm a little confused about your question...
Do you mean if you can switch colleges within the university, or switch majors?
If you mean if you can switch majors, I don't think that's a problem, but as for the college itself, I don't have the exact details on that.

Exactly what college are you applying to? Georgetown College or...

Well, Georgetown College is what I meant.
On the app, the majors within the College seemed - to me - to be separated into exclusive groups: science, languages, and undecided. I wasn't sure if this meant that if you apply undecided, you can ONLY go into majors that were in the undecided group.

Don't worry about it. The only thing I can think of is that the The FLL might slightly more competetive. The FLL stands for the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics and is what they mean by languages on the application.

Don't worry, it's not like you won't be able to change your major once you're hear. Everyone in the College goes in as "undeclared" and can't offically declare a major until second semester sophomore year. For a pre-med student or a language major with very little experience in their particular language of study, they sort of have to declare a major early because they have a lot more to cram into 4 years. Honestly, don't worry, it doesn't matter what you check on the app and neither category is really that much more competetive than the other.
