Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon or USC for Business major?

Hi everyone!
Can you analyze/evaluate the pros and cons of persuing a business major in these three colleges? I would like to know more about the comparison of their specialties/internship opportunities/study abroad programs. Thanks a lot!

btw my SAT scores:
SATI 2100
SATII physics 730 MathII 780

I posted this post on the other two college's forum as well.

All three schools are great. I’d say it depends upon what field of business you want to go into and where you want to work after graduation.

id agree with kulakai and also what kind of school youre looking for

Thanks a lot Kulakai!

@kmzizzle: I want to do Finance major in college

Id say USC because of their international emphasis and extracurriculars, and obviously for connections, but if you want finance Stern will probably be better (well wharton is better but you have to be basically a demi-god to make it lolz)

USC Pro: its in LA - lots of connections and opportunities
USC Con: not the most forgiving environment for introverts/pretty cut-throat

Georgetown Pro: fantastic reputation, highly regarded degrees, lots of connections and opportunities
Georgetown Con: cut-throat environment

CMU Pro: great reputation and Tepper kids go very far
CMU Con: not the greatest city to be in if you want the ground-breaking, eye-opening, lip-smacking internships

Georgetown’s environment is far from cut-throat–although the student body is accomplished, hard-working, and goal-oriented, the atmosphere is one of collegiality and team-work–in fact, among the most prestigious schools, Georgetown has the reputation of having one of the least cut-throat environments. In terms of international business, Georgetown clearly has the strongest international reputation of the three. CMU is the most quantitative of the three, but Georgetown provides the better broader business education, the better internship/work opportunities during the academic year, and the better overall job placement/reputation in the business world.

thanks everyone!

USC is the best choice for west coast and those looking to work in Asia after graduation since USC invests so heavily in its Pacific rim connection. I’d opt for Georgetown if you were looking to work on the east coast or in Europe (which tends to be most people if they are looking to work on wall street).

like others have mentioned, it basically has to do with where you want to work.

if you plan on staying on the west part of the US or on the pacific rim, USC is a stronger choice. if you want to work on the east coast or wall street USC is not your best option.

like georgetown, USC has a very strong study-abroad program which many many students take advantage of.
