Georgetown Chances

<p>Hey, there. I'm currently looking at Georgetown (SFS), and would appreciate evaluations of my stats and my chances to gain acceptance.</p>

<p>SATs
Math: 710
Verbal: 740</p>

<p>SAT IIs
Math IC: 710
Writing: 800
US History: 670</p>

<p>Extracurriculars/Work:
3 years working as a landscaper
1 year as a burger-flipper
2 years of Varsity Wrestling
4 years of Varsity Track and FIeld
1 year of Varsity Cross-Country
2 years of JV Soccer
1 year of Indoor Track
1 year of Weightlifting Club
4 years on the school newspaper staff (2 as editor-in-chief)
4 years of military drill (achieved various drill proficiency, deportment awards and the rank of Captain - second-highest attainable rank)
2 years as a Model U.N. senior delegate
2 years as a Student Council representative
2 years on Junior Achievement (business-simulation club - both years as VP)</p>

<p>Other:
Unweighted GPA: 3.76
Attended rigorous college prep school
7 AP courses taken
Selected for West Point Invitational Academic Workshop (June '04)
Frequently participate in community service (Habitat for Humanity, etc...) and ethnic (chinese) activities</p>

<p>SAT's are a liitle weak. I read that Georgetown is the 7th most selective school in the country. You have a chance.</p>

<p>For SFS, I would recommend raising your SAT II US History score to at least 700. Taking and SAT II in a foreign language (and doing well, of course) would also be very helpful.</p>
