He’s in. thud

@Vikram, my interviewer told me that for early action grades and scores are what they look at most, plus it helps if you’re a legacy. She said they don’t consider you as a person as much until regular decision, which kinda stinks.
My grades and scores were higher, and I got deferred, but that might not mean anything. This whole process really just has to do a lot with how lucky you are!

agreed with luketoast! My first essay was very powerful according to my teacher, and I was really proud of it…plus I definitely thought it would have invoked the sympathy vote, but guess not…hopefully next time!

Err, even Yale has a higher acceptance rate for SCEA, 14.4%.

Something tells me that Pre-Med is an auto-deferral.

Just got accepted!!! I cannot even breathe!!! Northern NJ NHS international health pre med!!!

why do i live in california…

Deferred while it is upsetting it does not come as that much of a surprise. An acceptance rate of 13% does not instill any hope. I am just going to try to figure out a plan of action, and try to wow them for Regular Decision. I think they will see more of me in the Regular Decision pool

Oh my god mail carrier get your **** together and give me my letter!!
I want to find out.
Also, I’m not sure of this “not caring about essays/recs during ea” thinking. If that was true, why wouldn’t they require sat ii scores to be in- which by the way I’m freaking out about. Just took them in December

Accepted!!

Just goes to show SATs aren’t everything I guess.

ASEORUHASLDKFBAWEIOFB so excited!!

i hate people who have gotten their letters.

anyone in california heard back? I’m dying here…

i think people in california would be lucky to get it by saturday. maybe early next week:( but apparently if you don’t get it by saturday you can call the office of admissions monday morning to find out.

ahhhhh thats so bad. i havent heard back from anyone yet haha anxiety is killing me

Well that blew my theory out of the water.
