Best of luck to everyone! Hopefully we’ll see each other next year!

I’m predicting east coasters will get their letters on the 12th or 13th!

Do you think they send the letters/packets regular first class mail or priority mail? West coast might take 5-7 days to receive first class mail!

My daughter heard from a friend that there is a rumor going around that decisions were mailed today. She wanted me to call the admissions office but it is too late. Does anyone know anything about this?

It’s false.

Right so since it’s false, do you have any idea what day they are planning to mail the letters? Since you are already at Georgetown.

My D and her friend thought (were hoping!) it might be true since they heard that Gtown typically sends out the letters on the last day of the semester, which was yesterday (or today per the academic calendar). Is that not the case this year?

I just wanna know!!!

We all wanna know…I hope the USPS is speedy with our letters!

Last year my letter was dated December 12th and I got it on the 15th in NYC.

The website says December 15th… but I don’t think I can wait a single week more! Hoping for the letter sometime this week!!

Do they prioritize shipping for acceptances or no? I’m dying!

We should play a game or something to ease our suffering…

Does anybody posting here live close enough to DC that they would get the mail in 1 day, so that we know when Georgetown mailed letters? I’m dying for my decision but I will be out of town from Friday to Sunday, and it takes three days for mail to get from DC to my house, so if they don’t mail until Wednesday I won’t have my decision until I get home Sunday…

Impressionistic, I live in Maryland just outside of the DC line. I’ll let you know when I get my letter, but someone who actually lives in DC would be a better bet.

has anyone called admissions and asked when they are sending or if they have sent?

Will they even tell us? The student who works in admissions might notice the large amount of mail leaving the building.

^Can’t say.

And they won’t tell you. The standard answer is “you’ll get your letter around the 15th, probably the Monday after or the Saturday before.”

Do they stagger the letters?

So for nyc applicants we can expect our letters by friday?
Also does anyone know if Georgetown looks favorably on students who have done their summer honors program (the five week credit one)? I did it last summer but I feel as if it wouldn’t really and shouldn’t be a factor other than it being “demonstrated interest” in gtown
