Ahh I see, good luck with your interview! @SonOfAbraham
Thank you! You as well @gongju
I had to schedule mine later because of sports. I will double check with admissions for an interview deadline and let you all know.
I donât think there is necessarily a deadline that all interviews must be completed by. The goal is to get the interviews done before they begin reviewing applications so they have a complete application. Not surprising they would make allowances if it couldnât be scheduled sooner but it is not at all surprising that the interviewers would be provided with deadlines in the hope they would have the report returned by or as close to 11/1 as possible.
When scheduling my interview, my interviewer offered me dates both before and after the November 1st deadline on which to conduct the interview, and she knew I was applying Early Action. She clearly did not care whether the interview was after the deadline.

@1zogden1 My interviewer flat out said that he wanted it to be both evaluative and informational. He was super nice, and asked standard interview questions about my personal background, academic background, extracurriculars, and most importantly, my interest in Georgetown.
Hey guys. I submitted my application for EA last night and I havenât received any sort of conformation. Anyone who has submitted their application already, is this normal?
Also, is there anyway to check what you reported your race as after you submit the application. Iâm African American, but I think I might have clicked âAsianâ by accident.
Is it easier to get into the School of Nursing and Health Studies than the College and can NHS students still continue to learn a language or pursue a minor in it? How hard is an internal transfer between schools if accepted? I am interested in either Biology of Global Health in the College or Human Science or International Health in NHS.
Also, if you get deferred EA can you switch the school youâre applying to for RD?
re: informational vs evaluative, my sonâs college counselor said it was evaluative. Interviewer said during the interview is was evaluative. There is always the information aspect as I donât think any interviewer would decline to answer any questions posed by a prospective student.
@2017ar You have many good questions that are best answer by your regional AO. It will also give you a chance to interact with the AO so why donât you email that person and not only will you get the answers directly from someone who would know but would have the opportunity to have an exchange with that person?
Planning to submit EA soon, what are my chances?

Also, Iâve heard that the EA rate is lower than the RD rate, should I consider this?
just submitted my EA! very nervous
What did you guys write about for the âwhy this major?â essay? Iâm applying for business and wrote about my familyâs past in business and how that sparked an interest for me. I feel like thats really cliche, but hopefully it comes off as genuine atleast.
@LLfrth Your chances will increase when you get those essays done! I donât know if the EA rate is lower than the RD rate but if you apply EA and are not accepted, they will re-evaluate your application with the RD pool. Really not much to lose if you can get a solid application together and submit EA. They will also accept any additional information that will strength your RD application. Good luck!
LLfrth has great stats except for class rank. From what I know GTown looks at rank very closely, but you have great stats
Can admissions see if you do not submit all of your testing for the ACT/SAT/Subject Tests?
Thatâs not something you want to find out the hard way, @2017ar !
@2017ar I donât know how it works/if CB would report it but you should DEFINITELY submit all your testing. There could be far-reaching consequences from Georgetown and even any other schools, since schools often share this information.
Your school I think also tells Georgetown what tests you took in their special Report.
@sunshine232 @SonOfAbraham Thank you, I will be submitting all of them!
