Waitlisted…third straight day after waitlists from Wash U and UVA. Just got in to Notre Dame which certainly softens the blow!

This was my daughter’s only rejection out of ten schools with significant scholarships and merit. She has already committed elsewhere to a school that loves her academic record! That’s all a parent wants for their child!

Waitlisted. GT is my son’s dream school and only rejection. Concerned so few get off the waitlist. Last year was 20% but I think that was probably due to Covid and a lot of kids deferring. The year before was only 6%

what is sfs?

That’s how the waitlist works. You can deposit in the college that accepted and if the spot opens up after May 1, you can let that deposit go, let them know and take your spot at GT.

Accepted!

I was also rejected but this is what my letter said: “The Committee considered 27,650 candidates for an entering class of 1,550 first-year students. As a result of this high level of competition, we were able to offer admission to only 11.7% of the many well-qualified candidates. Please be assured that the Committee on Admissions thoroughly reviewed your application and regrets that you could not be included in the admitted class.”
