georgetown college (science)

this is prolly one of those questions some of you will answer to with the following quote:

"irrelevent .... everyone has an equal chance of getting in bla bla bla"

but, really, i was wondering that georgetown has a great international relations / government etc etc program where admitted students are really interested in pursuing those paths in life, so is it these programs that students apply to that bring the acceptance rate down? or am i just far from right?

is applying for a major in internanational relations or political science harder to get into than classical history? (or, chemistry in my case ...)? because those who apply for internanational relations or political science will most probably end up going to georgetown, as in it will be their first choice

thanks
(i may have stated the question a but awkwardly, please ask for some clarification ...)

actually check back maybe a page or so? the released stats for acceptance for this years EA were posted. The highest acceptance rate was for the International relations (School of Foreign Service) because as most people say it is more self selective.

As for government and poli sci within the college, it's hard to say..they dont have stats by major? if it's within one school, I don't think it really impacts it what major you have? unless its for FLL (linguistics) I think. And i dont understand what the applicants end up going to georgetown with it as their first choice affects anything? lol um..yeah so if i didnt give you the answer you were looking forward..clarify what else you were wondering =D
