<p>Hey I was wondering what is the typical Georgetown dress code? I know that it's supposed to be preppy, but from a lot of places I've heard it's really dressy and girls wear black pants? Can someone give me some brands or other details please? Thanks.</p>
<p>there's no dress code, it's college--wear what you want and be yourself</p>
<p>There's the stereotype of it being uberpreppy and then there's the reality - well, it is till is uberpreppy in many ways, but there's also people wearing hooded sweatshirts, lounge pants or pajama bottoms, football jerseys, etc.</p>
<p>there are plenty of jeans and sweatshirts at Georgetown. some girls dress up, most realize after a few weeks that the effort isn't worth it.</p>
