I GOT IN

@lunascreatures Hey congrats!!! Do you mind posting geographic location and stats???

@jxnnx97 I’m writing up a stats post for this thread: <a href=“Class of 2019 EA Results - Georgetown University - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/georgetown-university/1717864-class-of-2019-ea-results.html

geographic location: complicated. I’m in Macedonia, my parents live in the DC area, but I’m from Kansas.

Deferred, I was NOT expecting that but maybe I was being too optimistic (GPA is low due to weird GPA calculations for 9th and 10th grade)… Anyways, it’s a blessing in disguise! I’ve got pre-mocks coming up and was planning on relaxing and taking it easy as they are not included in term grades and they are not sent off to colleges, but I just talked to my counsellor and she said if they help my application I could definitely send them to the universities I’m applying to! I guess now I just need to refocus and recuperate! Best of luck to all those who have not yet received their decisions, congratulations to those accepted, and if you were deferred, I know it’s difficult especially if Georgetown is your top choice, but stay positive! It’s another chance to show the admissions office the best “you” you can be!
Good luck with the rest of your applications!

And another thing, I want to write an e-mail to the admissions office thanking them for their consideration and ensuring my continued interest in Georgetown. Would this be improper, and if not, how would I go along doing so? Thanks in advance!

@samshabs I definitely think that’s an okay thing to do. structure it exactly like you said - start by one or two sentences thanking them for their work and consideration, then state that you are still interested, then state that you hope that further information (term grades, whatever else you plan to do - which you will later email them about) will encourage them to reconsider your application in the RD pool!

@jxnnx97 sorry that I took so long, but stats are posted on the other thread now.

Accepted! International student from Europe. I received the email 2 o’clock in the morning today. So, east coast time 7? in the afternoon. Good Luck to all the rest & Congrats to those accepted!!!

Congrats to those that are accepted!!
Time to stare obsessively out of the window for the mail!

When do people get mail today? I know that the east coast should probably get it and I’m freaking out.

Considering what previous applicants have said and a general idea of when mail gets in
I would say there’s a good chance for northeast decisions today

( supposedly my mail gets in in the next 40ish minutes so…)

Mail just came in Pittsburgh, nothing.

anyone got anything from NJ?

FALSE ALARM: REAL MAIL HASNT COME YET, it was just packages

Hey I’m from Michigan and my mail comes at like 3:30 so if I get my mail before any of you I’ll let us know… But I think I’ll probably get it on Monday. I can’t wait

If the mail comes and it’s not there, I think i’m going to throw up. I can’t deal with waiting two more days.

That’s pretty weird that there’s nothing in Pittsburgh…

^that was a false alarm

@supermonkey Thanks just saw that. My hopes are alive again.

Is anyone here close to DC?
