My admissions counselor responded within a day, so I would call them tomorrow?

My stats are 2350 sat, 4.35 W GPA, school doesn’t rank(I’d assume top 5%), and full IB candidate. GPA worries the crap out of me.

Ok lets put things into perspective guys— Remember that the posters on this thread are likely the people who have been on top of things for a long time and are at the top of the applicant pool in terms of stats.

Also, what school did you guys apply to?

@nyyanks17 I emailed them too, yet did not receive a response. Called to confirm, change I requested through email was reflected in my app. I’ve researched this and apparently they do read emails, but don’t respond. If they haven’t contacted you for missing materials, then I’m pretty sure they received it. Don’t worry about it and decisions have probably been/will be finalized within the next three days before they send the mail out!

@byebyebirdy did you email your specific regional counselor? I emailed guapplication@georgetown.edu. Maybe that’s the reason.

Does anyone know if Georgetown still only mails decisions?

@Cicero1 yes, unless you live outside the US, in which case you’ll get an email on the 15th.

Thanks, @lunascreatures!

what time on the 15th are decisions released?

They mail them a couple days early… so whenever you get your mail. Personally I got mine on the 14th last year but some got earlier and some got later. I then received a phone call a couple of days later.

do they anounce what day the sent the letters? Like on the website or Twitter or something?

@JalapenoGreens I emailed that address too, maybe mine just likes responding to emails?

@byebyebirdy Hmm I’m sure there’s no problem, a lot of other people have experienced the same situation. What was your email regarding, if I may ask? If it’s private or you don’t feel comfortable revealing then that is fine too.

@klybo2 If you don’t mind me asking, from which state did you apply? I’m from NYC and I’m wondering if I’ll get mine on Saturday, or Monday the 15th.

@JalapenoGreens Totally fine. Just a school information update, nothing too big but I didn’t want to run into problems down the road (as if I’m getting in haha). I think I got a pretty routine response in return, it wasn’t personalized or anything. I honestly don’t think its worth worrying about, especially at this point.

@JalapenoGreens Thanks for the info. I’m from Long Island and am hoping we receive them on Saturday (fingers crossed). Best of luck to you!

@byebyebirdy I saw your stats on the previous page, I am sure you will be accepted!

@nyyanks17 ahhh I’m so nervous about opening the envelope since the deferral and acceptance letters are both in the small sized envelope with a difference of one blue sheet of paper :((

@JalapenoGreens Yikes! We shall see soon enough… :-S

@JalapenoGreens Haha I hope so, hopefully we all will.

Honestly if I was a college counselor I would purposefully make all the papers white just to mess with kids and I’m terrified that will happen.

I would rather have the papers in white so I won’t know if I was rejected /accepted without even reading the letter

I feel like a complete loser compared to some of you! Even though I’m at the top of my class, my stats don’t even compare!! My school does GPA out of 100 so mine is a 101.63 W, and my SATs are only a 1980 superscored. Hopefully all of my other things can pull me through good luck to everyone!
