Can I do both GTown EA and ED for another school?
Last date Nov 1st for both.
HELP!!

No you can’t - the policy should be stated clearly on the website.

“Students applying to Georgetown under our Early Action program may not concurrently apply to a binding Early Decision program. Georgetown does give students the option to apply both under our Early Action program and under other schools’ Early Action programs. Please be sure to research the guidelines of all schools to which you are applying; not all Early Action programs will allow multiple Early Action applications.”

[Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/applying_firstyear_earlyaction.cfm)

have you started you application process yet?

@sophomore12: Thanks. Since the policy states "Students applying to Georgetown under our Early Action program MAY NOT concurrently apply to a binding Early Decision program." I figured if they really didn’t want us to apply ED to another school, the policy would say " …CAN NOT concurrently apply …" So, is it open to interpretation?!?

No, it is not even remotely open to interpretation. Saying you may not do something equates to saying it is against the rules.

Teacher: You may not use notes on the test.

…

Teacher: Are you using notes?!
Student: You didn’t say “can not”, just “may not”.
Teacher: Get out of here.

Lol^^

Think they’d actually catch you though? Honestly?

Quite possibly, and it’s an unnecessary risk. If you’re going to apply ED to a school, it should be your first choice to the point where you’re willing to give up applying to another school EA if that’s what it takes. If you’re not, maybe you should reconsider the ED choice.
