Hey everybody! With the countdown upon us, we need a place to relax... so voila! The Georgetown EA Lounge... (VIPs only!) :D

Talk about whatever! Just try to avoid anything countdown-related- that's for the other thread.

To continue the conversation, December 15th is a Wednesday.

So if we all get in, we can get ready to celebrate on the weekend, and if not, a weekend covered in a drunken haze is only 2 days away!

LOL that's awesome! I'm not sure how I feel about the decisions coming out on a wednesday, though- it's gonna be weird at school b/c the seniors are either going to be really happy or really depressed (at least those who applied early). I'd feel bad being really openly happy if I got in, b/c it would kind of be like rubbing it in the faces of the people who didn't!

i have a trip to the city on the 15th, so I'm afraid I'll be back late and my mom will have already torn it open because she just "couldn't resist" and will ruin the whole thing for me. haha

Also, something really weird today. I got a packet from Gtown and inside? Was a blank application. I was like...I asked for this like four months ago...why are they sending it now that I just printed the forms out and gave them in?

weird.

I'm the mom that will be dying to tear the envelope open, but my daughter would kill me if I did that! I'll have to wait for her to come home from school, and pray there will be tears of joy and not tears of despair! I know we will be checking the mailbox anxiously from the 13th on! She wants Georgetown so much! As you all do too!

happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts...

Yeah, school is going to be a sorry sight on December 16. I already told my friends if I am not there don't ask and don't call. :)

We've all established a pact.

can i make you all a bet right now?

I will be the last person to receive the Gtown letter in the EA group. I'll probably get it around January.

LOL I'll counter that bet by saying that I will be the last person to receive a letter. I have terrible luck with communications of any kind. :p

PS- for the confirmation email, what was the email address they sent it from? Just wondering...

all right, looks like the EA Hoyas will be taking bets on you or me.

Something like guadmiss@georgetown.edu

That's the e-mail.

Don't bet, it's bad.

come on, tlaktan-- you know you want to. me or calidan? who's getting it last?

My money is on both of you getting it at around the same time. Be optimistic!

oooh, I forgot to post something that really contributes to my worries-- a lot.

No one in the past couple of years who's applied to Gtown from my school has gotten in. eeeek.

yeah at my school last year out of 8 people, only one got in and she was a huge legacy :(

I can top it off -- no one has EVER applied from my school, and we're nearly 120 years old.

Same for me, tlaktan. That's not always a negative, though.

I might get it even later than you guys! All of San Diego's mail goes through LA...

Unfortunately, people HAVE applied from my school...they got in, but they were also ASB Presidents. :(

Do you all think that people who applied well before Nov. 1 would have a better chance than those who got their apps in right before the deadline?
