Georgetown EA

I was hopping around different Georgetown threads, and something caught my attention. Someone said that Georgetown doesn’t consider legacy in EA (which I am aware of). However, they also stated that they really only consider academics in EA. Does that mean that all of my ECs, such as: sports (soccer), clubs (debate), and volunteer work won’t be considered until RD?

The way I would characterize it is that the academic indicators are weighted more heavily in EA than in RD…the general idea being that someone admitting during EA has such strong academic indicators that they would be admitted regardless of what the RD pool might conceivably look like. That certainly doesn’t mean that things like extracurriculars, essays, recommendations, interview, etc. are completely disregarded. But it does result in EA having a… less permeable academic floor when it comes to who is admitted, if that make sense?
