With the EA deadline quickly approaching (gasp) i think now would be an appropriate time to start this years EA thread, a place where we can all agonize until the 15th. Good Luck All! :), only 46 days left

Godspeed to all those (like me) still working on that app!

I’m still working too. I’ve re-written my essays five or six times and am still not satisfied with them. What school are you applying to?

I’m applying to the College for Government. You?

I’ve gone through about five drafts for the personal essay, and I think I’m finally done with it. I’m working on the ‘why Georgetown?’ essay now.

College of Sciences
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else here wanting to go premed.

That’s cool. Always nice to see somebody who wants to help people, instead of the government/pre-law types like me who just cause more problems, haha.

I’m applying EA for the College, too. I was just reading some of the posts for last year’s EA thread, and it seems like people WAYYYY more qualified than me got deferred. It’s totally freaking me out. I need to stay off these boards…

haha, I know right? All those stats out there are killing me! I can’t stay away though. haha. I’m spplying to SFS, anyone else? =)

I’m applying NHS, i was just wondering if anyone knew if the deadline for EA was tonight at midnight or tomorrow night at midnight because Georgetown says our apps must be “postmarked” BY Nov. 1 but what about online transmittion?

dancer, i think the general consensus is that they mean November 1st, 11:59 PM

ZapadnyiRus I’m applying Gtown science as well, premed. Best of luck to you

I’m going for the school of business, still finishing up my essay revisions. Also freaking out for the 15th.

Thank you! :)

Thanks imnotafraid… I’ve already accepted the fact i probably won’t get in though :(. But can’t hurt but still apply and hope for the best though.

What kind of stats do you think a typical accepted EA applicant would have?

Applying to College EA for Govt.
If I get in, it’s some kind of miracle.
Being on this website only confirms that reality further…

I’m applying! …to SFS, which I was quite surprised to see has a HIGHER admit rate than the college.

Was it just me or did the stats of admitted SFS students from last year seem to be the highest of all admitted applicants? Maybe the SFS pool is more self-selecting/smaller so the admit rate is higher even if the students have higher stats.

You’d think SFS would have a lower admit rate, being arguably the best foreign service program.

College has lowest admit rate. 18 percent. Bummer…

^^^ I like to tell myself most people applying to college aren’t applying for sciences lol
