Hi I'm Asian student who goes to a international school in Japan. My parents are Japanese but I was born in the States so I have dual US-Japanese citizenship.

I am wondering whether I should apply for early action (non-binding) for Georgetown University OR early decision (binding) for George Washington University. I have seen statistics that there is a higher chance of getting in GWU if you apply for early decision (64% chance for ED and 33% regular decision), but at the same time I want to apply for Georgetown University (even though my chances are very low). I'm afraid if I don't apply for ED for GWU I will not get in and I would like to know my chances... and what decision I should make.

GPA UW grade 11: 3.14
GPA W grade 11: 3.57

HL World History

I took 2 APs because my school only offers two... It was a self study for 2 months
5 on English Language and Literature
and 2 for macro econ (planning to take it again)

SAT Super score: 1900
CR:600
M:670
W:630

Sat subject test: 790 Japanese listening and writing
planning to take world history

Awards: Harvard Book Prize

I believe my personal essay will be good because I will talk about my struggle of being Japanese but not being able to speak Japanese when I first moved from the United States to Japan. I am now able to view at both countries as my home but at the same time, I can look at them from a foreigner's perspective.

I want to study international relations and I believe my previous experiences and my exposure to the international environment of my international school will be appealing to universities.

I believe my recommendation letters will be good because my reputation is the school is great. I have been a student in my school for many years and have participated in many activities. I also love to help others inside and outside of school (example: I save a dog that was hit by a car last year haha). I hope my background and ECs are good enough to make up for my low grades and I would like to have your opinion on my decision of applying for George Washington University Early Decision or Georgetown University Early Action.

Thank you for taking your time to read this and please let me know about my chances THANK YOU!
:D
