Anybody know how Georgetown's Economics program stacks up against the big-name schools with top departments like Northwestern, UChicago, Yale, Harvard, etc.?

How good is it overall for undergraduates?

(This might play into my decision to transfer.)

georgetown is a top caliber school, and like most of its peer schools, econ will tend to be strong. Georgetown in particular though, the econ might not be as strong because its main focus will be on the McDonough school of business. Econ at Gtown certainly isn't on par with uchicago, harvard, yale, but is still a very respectable degree. Just my 2 cents
