About how long (in words) should Georgetown essays be?

the application says approx 1 page. Single spaced times new roman 12 font=between 500-800 words should be okay.

And the Short Essay?

My guess is between 300-500

^Thank you so much!!

Have you applied to Gtown yet?

Nope. As we speak I'm working on my rough draft for essay 1. Still am not sure about essay 2 yet. It's frustrating because I don't know if what I'm writing is good enough.

Have you applied anywhere else? If so, you could always recycle essays.

Yeah, I've used ideas and excerpts from my commonapp essay(s). I'm not so much worried about content as much as if it's a problem I'm not writing like Shakespeare or Milton or (insert any other famous writer here)

gtwnlvr016 - I think that as long as the writing is good and unique, you'll be fine. Obviously they're looking for good writing ability, but they're also looking for who YOU are - your personality. As long as that shines through, you'll be ok (I hope!). Besides, I wrote the SFS essay, and that's more straightforward; it's less personal. I'm not sure what the other prompts are, but I think it's easier to write well when it's like the common app and you have free reign. Just my lowly opinion haha.

What are the essays because I can't open it with my internet.
Could you please copy and past them, thanks.
