Treasurer for a Health Club
I don’t have too many ECs in college, and I didn’t even mention the treasurer position in my essay. I focused my essay on my interests in politics and healthcare. I applied for Biology and Global Health btw. I talked about opportunities at Georgetown and how they would help me get farther. That was about it. I realize now, after having gone through this process twice, that the focus of the essays should be what entices you to work in the path you’re on rather than a focus of your past achievements. Basically, they care about what you see for your future.

@Robinyoursoul I only applied to GU so I’m fortunate that it worked out. I still have to think it over though. Financially I’m better off staying at UC San Diego since I’m from California, but I really want to go to GU. It is still up in the air for now; atleast until I find out how much aid I get.

Oh wow replies already coming in. That’s really exciting but unnerving for me lmao. Hopefully I get my response soon, I can’t wait any longer! Also, happy to say I will finish my spring semester with a 3.7 GPA

I think they’re releasing decisions by major? I could be wrong but it seems like everyone who’s heard so far is bio with global heath

Just out of curiosity: are there any other prospective government transfers present? I’m wondering how many government majors the college typically admits! Congrats to those you recently heard back, I hope to see y’all next fall.
