Yeah I’m keeping that in mind. I’m going to capitalize on my opportunities to win awards and hopefully all of the hard work will pay off. And my backups will be NYU, Virginia, Columbia, USC (Cali), Penn State, Maryland, Northwestern, George Washington, and Rutgers. Obviously some of them aren’t backups, but those are some of the schools that I am considering when looking at schools I wanna transfer to. What about you guys?
University of Virginia
William and Mary
George Washington University
Virginia Tech
James Madison University
George Mason University
American University
In order of precedence:
Georgetown Uni.
George Washington Uni.
George Mason Uni. (accepted)
Relocating to a new area wasn’t an option for me as I just moved to the NOVA area 1 1/2 years ago after getting out of the military and only applied locally; will move after my undergrad if accepted to dental school next year
Georgetown BETTER be at the top of that list! Great choices though!
@WhoTouchedMyTaco lmao, yes, Georgetown is definitely at the top of my list; has been since I was still in the Marines!

Question here: recently sent a business letter via certified mail with usps last week explaining my acceptance into the WSP project being held at Georgetown this summer and was requesting that the supplemental information be placed into my admissions packet; either the letter never made it or all letters going to the undergraduate office do not have to be signed for.
Should I email them with the same information that was in the business letter?
I don’t get why you don’t call?

I would drive over to Georgetown University and personally drop off that letter so that I can assure that the staff members of the admissions department have it. Otherwise, I would give the admissions office a phone call to inquire about the arrival of your mail. Also, I don’t think you should hesitate in sending an email; this is your future, dude!
Admissions Phone Number: (202) 687-3600
Admissions E-Mail: guapplication@georgetown.edu
Good luck!
Let’s talk about Georgetown Lol. Why did you guys choose to apply to georgetown?

@IvyLeague2
I applied for many reasons (besides Georgetown’s location, prestige and heritage/history) such as: a better, more rigorous learning environment to prepare me for dental school; being surrounded by people who want to be there more than the next person is influencing; I have wanted to go there since I was still in the military and working overseas.
And most importantly, I feel that the representation of veterans in the pool of undergraduate student’s at competitive/ivy/private institutions is very poor; the reason why I did not want to settle for a university like George Mason. Something I mentioned in my transfer essay is that the skills/traits we inherit as service-members do make us competitive applicants and ideal students to these top universities even though we aren’t the president of 5 non-profits or volunteer in Uganda every summer. (that last half I didn’t mention in my essay, just being facetious )
However, I completely understand that me being a veteran isn’t the golden ticket to an admissions letter, which is why I have busted my a** on a daily basis.
Hi guys, i am international transfer applicant to GU from University of Miami. Having a 3. 15 college GPA. Very for GU, and i am exempt from submitting the SAT/ACT. What are my chances of getting in in the Fall 2017
I know my situation is difficult and i have a 0.01 percent to get in but what should i do to maximize my chances i submitted my application already
And i am wondering, if the deadline to submit the application is March 1st, why it is still available in their website, why the made this extension?
How many recommendations did everyone do?
I did 2 recommendations and one dean"s report
U guys did not answer my questions
Those questions would be better to be directed to the university.
For the other question. Honestly I think saying you have a.01 percent chance of getting in is being overly generous.
What do u mean by that ?
