I haven’t heard back yet. Has any one else on this forum not heard yet?
I have not heard back either. It is highly likely (97% I’d say) it is a rejection or in the slimmest of chances, acceptance for Fall 2018 lol. @Prepgrad2017
That’s what I’m thinking too @ivybound511. I really want to know soon though. Here’s to at least 1 and half weeks of waiting :))
What school did you apply to @Prepgrad2017 ?
I think there may be a second small wave of acceptances for Spring 2019. I highly doubt anyone would get accepted for Fall 2018–the class is closed.
I really hope you’re right @alarak
@Ivybound11 I applied to the college. Guess we’re special to be in the minority of people that will be rejected ultimately
@alarak Are you a rising junior that has been admitted for spring for real? lol if that’s true then maybe you’ll repeat your sophomore year then
@alarak Why are only rising sophomores considered for the Spring (January) 2019 option?
As Georgetown requires four full semesters in residence for all enrolling transfer students, a maximum of only 60 credits (four semesters) can be transferred into the University. Current “rising sophomores” who complete their Fall 2018 semester elsewhere and arrive at Georgetown in January 2019 will be able to complete their four semesters in residence without requiring an excess semester. Rising sophomores will also have maximum flexibility to cover graduation requirements in five semesters at Georgetown.
I called Georgetown back in June, and the person told me that the admissions committee ultimately decides what year you are.
I was also accepted to MSB for Spring 2019. So hyped!!
In the email I received, it is explained that the dean’s office will be conducting a thorough transfer credit evaluation. I understand I will not know exactly what year I am until then. However, it’s clearly highly unlikely that Georgetown will accept all 60+ credits I have from my CC. That may put me one semester behind.
@Trnsfr13, are you an incoming student? You seem to have an above average understanding for transferring in the Spring considering there is not much information online (since Georgetown previously only allowed for Fall transfers) It seems to be too new for Georgetown to update any online information as they still state “Transfer applicants are only admitted for the fall semester.” I think my best bet is to wait for the evaluation and call in for clarification if necessary.
There is an entire FAQ section for this years transfer applicants that includes questions about Spring admission. @Trnsfr13 is citing the Gtown website.
Ah, I see it under ‘Transfer Wait List FAQ’ – either way it is unhelpful to me, I can update you guys on my transfer state after my evaluation and hopefully that may help future readers of this thread, too! I do think I may have to attend 1 extra semester though, so 2.5 yrs…
Can anyone see their fin aid?

@larbear hey! have you created the Spring 2019 Transfers group on Facebook?
Is that it for acceptances or will they release more decisions on Friday? Are the rest of us who didn’t receive anything likely rejections at this point?

@funhouse it’s hard to say. Historically, it’s seemed like they do it all in one wave, but who knows? We’ll find out fairly soon either way.
