Thanks for the responses. While you always hope that you grow roots where you go to school, sometimes the fit isn’t right and change is a good thing. Good luck to you all.
@Kvadhan789 thanks!
Are the admissions officers who do the state by state regular decision applications the same people who do the transfer applications? Or is there a different committee for transfer?
Hi, everyone! I am a little late to the thread but wanted to introduce myself to all of you! Good luck on this, my fingers are crossed for all of us!
Hey y’all. Spoke to GU over the phone and they’ll be releasing results over snail mail (Classic). Anybody that hasn’t gotten an email recently has fulfilled their entire app. It’s just a matter of waiting… anyone hear about the spring transfer situation?
@parkcentral did they say when they would start releasing decisions?
you can probably check last years thread
I think the first acceptance I saw was on Apr 24 if I’m remembering correctly. A lot of people who were accepted received their decisions in early-mid May.
@parkcentral are you sure they’re releasing decisions via snail mail? looks like last year they did email
Georgetown said “If you wish to be considered for Spring 2019 transfer admission, we will be back in touch with you in April and May with further details”
What do you think those further details are? Will we have to complete another essay or send in more grades or something?
Do you think they will send decisions to our home address or year address? Just asking because I will be home by then
I think the decision is emailed.
This waiting thing is giving me anxiety!
Have you guys heard anything over spring admission??
Nope, I have not heard anything. Please comment if anyone receives their letters yet!
Also… what’s everyones back up choice?
At this point, UT-Austin or Tulane (I’m a philosophy major).
Georgetown is my 2nd choice, 1st is Johns Hopkins and 3rd is UVA.
USC is the only other school I applied to. Anxiously waiting for Georgetown to send out decisions :-S
NYU or Cornell…
Georgetown is my first choice, followed by Cornell (reach), and then Northeastern
