Georgetown International Applicants EA Decisions

Hi all,

Just wondering how Georgetown informs international applicants about their admission decision for early action. E-mail?

Also, when do they start e-mailing them out? I know it says 12/15… Do they mean all decisions will be released on the 15th or will they start mailing it out a week before like Boston College…

Thank you.

I think that they release them before then so that they can get to you by the 15th, but there’s really no telling.

International applicants get an e-mail. In the past few years, for domestic applicants, they mailed decisions on the 11th. People received them anywhere between the 13th (mostly people in the DC area and MD/VA) and the 18th-19th or so.

I guess I’ll just obsessively check my emails for the next 5 days then

Have any international applicants heard back yet?

NOOOOOOO!! I’m dying. Please someone tell me. When do international applicants hear back?!?!?!?! Someone said it is earlier than domestic applicants because it’s via e-mail. Is it true?!?!

I think it should be sent through email for international applicants, or else it will be such a torturous time to wait for an international mail! And there are rumors saying we internationals are going to know earlier than domestics, but who knows what’s gonna happen this year. By the way, I know a Georgetown student helping at Admission Office, and he posted on his Facebook that Chinese students should be hearing it during this weekend, and the mails are sent on 11th. But I don’t know it’s true or not.

Can’t stand the wait!!!

I’m a Korean student applying from China so does that mean I’ll hear back this weekend?!?!?!? But that means either today or tomorrow right?! :open_mouth:

The student I knew posted that he is looking forward to hearing good news from his fellow Chinese applicants in the coming weekend. He also said they started mailing and preparing for emails on 11th… That’s all I know! I am as anxious as you are, refreshing my inbox every five minutes… I don’t think I can do anything else before I get the email…just way too anxious…

Still nothing for everyone? So hard to focus on anything at the moment…

do u guys think maybe they view canadian applicants not as international applicants but as domestic since we’re so close? also if anyone gets an email plz plz post lol I’m losing my mind here!

Strange that no one here has got anything… I thought international students got their decisions earlier!

Fingers crossed it’ll be today

Hey guys so I called georgetown today: they confirmed that international students are notified via email and the email will come by tmr noon (eastern). If you do not receive the email by that time you may call them and they will tell you the decision via the phone!

Hey guys, so I live in Canada and I got my decision letter today by email around 5pm EST. Just wanted to let you guys know. Good luck!

Guys, I’m from Africa. I received my decision letter via email at 1700 ET, which is 2400 our time [CAT]. Good luck to all of you!!

Hi, I am from Nepal. I applied to Georgetown College. They emailed the decision letter about nine hours ago.

i am in east asia, and i haven’t received an email yet… am i deferred?
plus, do all accepted applicants receive phone calls?

Have any internationals been deferred? I’m an American living abroad and haven’t received an email, which makes me worry that I was deferred.
