I have been accepted to the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown and the Carroll School of Management at BC, however I am having a tough time deciding which one to choose to attend. Right now I am leaning towards Georgetown because I feel there are far more internship and job opportunities currently in the Washington DC area and also that Georgetown is a more sought after and prestigious school in general. Boston College's business program is slightly ranked higher though, so I was wondering if anyone could provide me with any insight or opinions on which choice they would make and why.

im surprised no one has chimed in. both very very close.
and honestly, I’d lose some sleep if I was in your situation
(hopefully I will be, I’m applying to both as a transfer soon).

I’d probably go with BC.

btw, your name says UCSDtoUCLA. did you apply to BC and Georgetown as a transfer?

I was accepted to both as a transfer and yes it’s an extremely difficult choice. They are such similar schools, but each has their unique advantages. Any other opinions?

I was in a similar situation as you, until I was accepted into Wharton. However, I was leaning toward Georgetown over BC.

If you are interested in business/politics I would choose Gtown because of its location in DC. Also, Gtown is opening a new business facility. See here: [May 2008](MSBTC)

If you’re still caught up, I would suggest you visit both campuses ASAP.
