Does anyone know about Georgetown's policy in regards to AP test and classes from high-school?
And as a incoming freshman, is there any need to send them?

You should submit them as you may be able to get credit for one or more of the gen ed core classes. Our S got credit for his math and science requirements along with a couple of elective credits. You need to have 4’s or 5’s on the tests. There is a page on the GU website that lists the AP credit criteria.

Thanks for the info.
Do you know by any chance if sending in a not so stellar score be negative in any way?

^^^^^^ I would assume it wouldn’t be. But why send them in if you know you aren’t getting credit for them? Unless the AP scores get sent as a group, rather than individually.

I don’t remember with ds1 whether they get sent together or you can pick or choose. Because we knew ds2 was in early at Georgetown, he isn’t sitting for the tests that won’t count for anything, either because Georgetown doesn’t take them or because he’s already done well enough on a previous test that taking another one would be redundant. He’s only taking two tests this year and is just hoping for a four from them both.
