Georgetown Qatar class of 2025

I did not receive anything from them. no updates in the portal nor emails about admission updates. i checked their website, but they did not mention a specific date to release them.

I received one too. But do you have any idea when they will release the fin aid letters?

Did you apply the previous year as well? How was the experience?

So, you have received your decision. When was it?

Guys, don’t be nervous, GU-Qatar has an acceptance rate of around 45%, and a 1260 ave SAT score of admitted students(from last year). It’s not too hard, I believe each of you holds a good chance of getting in. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your support! Really appreciate

I received it on the 17th of march. Also I am so sorry for not mentioning the date before.

No worries

Congratulations!!
Was it on the application portal or an email?

I got a email with the sub line: “Georgetown University in Qatar Admissions Decision Available” and then it had a link to the portal.

Also can somebody tell me if they got an email to schedule a meeting with the fin aid reviewer? Should we do it or not? And can somebody please help by suggesting the questions they will probably ask?

Thanks

I got it too, like an hour ago.

they are need-blind, so prob doesn’t matter eithher way. Do it if you feel it’s necessary, such as special circumstances in your family’s financial situation…

they sent me an email to schedule one but there was no hyperlinks in the button and i emailed them and still waiting for a response

I thought they were need-based. But do you think the interview is going to help in any way? I can’t attend at all if I don’t get a great fin package so that’s why I was just curious if it will be useful or not. Also, do they ask questions to the student or the family members?

Me too. And I send an email about the problem too. Will you schedule one?

Yes, i will. I have some concerns about the fin aid package because i need a great one to attend. I think i will ask them about some work-study program there; i heard that they offer robust opportunities.

Also, I will ask them about the date of the admission notification. perhaps they are adopting a rolling basis policy in notifying applicants. I submit my application in Feb 1st which is kinda late

bruh, need-based is for FA policy, need-blind is Admission policy regarding applicants who have financial need. those are diff lol. And for need-based, they’ll meet your need if admitted.

Congratulations to those who have been admitted)! Do you remember the date when you submitted an application?
