<p>did anybody else get rejected from georgetown and is also applying to cornell? are any of you cornell students who were rejected by georgetown? because i just got rejected by GT which has always been my second choice and now im doubting my chances for my dream school which is of course Cornell.</p>
<p>Back when I was applying to colleges in 2007, I was deferred and then rejected by Georgetown (Early Action) but I got into Cornell. It happens.</p>
<p>I was rejected by G-town and got into Cornell CAS.</p>
<p>I just got my Georgetown rejection letter in the mail two days ago…</p>

It was my my second choice…Cornell’s my first choice! I’ve been waitlisted almost everywhere I applied to. It’s depressing.</p>
<p>I didn’t apply to Georgetown but I got waitlisted at Carnegie Mellon and rejected at UChicago and I’m still hoping for Cornell, among other Ivies!</p>
<p>You just have to remember that college admissions has a lot of chance built into it. This year in particular where very high caliber students are applying to SO MANY colleges.</p>
<p>i applied to gtown in 2006 and got straight up denied… and i did get in to some very good schools. </p>
<p>they are very intensely catholic. The 2 kids from my HS that got into georgetown were just about as qualified as the kids who went to HYP, etc. but were very into the catholic academy thing. our salutatorian got a 2340 on her SATs and was a state-level field hockey player only applied to Gtown and Notre Dame.</p>

<p>Girl from my school was accepted at Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Brown, and Columbia, but rejected from Georgetown. She was half Hispanic, and half African American. </p>
