Georgetown Requirements

I am at a local community college and I will be transferring for the Fall 2015. I was wondering if anyone has a list of the course requirements necessary to get into the McDonough School of Business. I have heard Calculus II is required, but I was wondering if I can get confirmation.

I plan on graduating with the following courses:

Honors Economics 201
Economics 202
Honors Accounting 201
Honors Accounting 201
Honors Business Administration 101
Honors Literature 190
Honors Political Science 201
Honors Anthropology
Honors Religious Studies
Biology 106
Biology 107
Principles of Statistics
Precalculus
Calculus 1
Calculus 2
English 101
English 102
Computer Applications 120
Speech 112
Health 101
Art History 108

Potentially Spanish 201/202.

I will have over 60 credits, and I understand that not all will transfer. I was just wondering if anyone has a list of the courses that are needed for transfer admission.

I transferred into McDonough this year as a junior, so I could definitely answer any questions you have pertaining to that.

In terms of course requirements, MSB gave me course credit for my calculus classes at my previous institution without a validation exam. I know some students who transferred into MSB who are in calculus right now but odds are you’ll get credit as a junior. I don’t know/think any specific courses are required to transfer but best to contact admissions. I came into MSB with ZERO business courses done but essentially everything else completed on the liberal arts/math side.

After you apply and if you’re accepted, MSB will send out a list of potential course credits based on your course history.

Hope this helps.

Hey Nick,

If you don’t mind me asking, did you transfer from a CC or a University?

Thank You
