Hey everyone,
I plan to apply to the Georgetown SFS undergraduate program, and I can’t find any information on the average GPA of it’s admitted undergraduates. Does anyone know what this is? And what do my chances look like?
GPA: 3.72
AP CLASSES: AP GOVERNMENT, AP ENGLISH 4, AP ECONOMICS, AP CALC
LANGUAGES: H SPANISH 5, CHINESE 2
And I Forgot about ECs…
EC: DEBATE TEAM CAPTAIN, MODEL UN, MODEL CONGRESS, KEY CLUB, SCHOLASTIC SCRIMMAGE, VARSITY SOCCER AND TENNIS
VOLUNTEER WORK: I founded and run an annual charity cycling event which raises thousands of dollars towards hungry children
OTHER: I am a legacy at Georgetown, my father attended
Any answers would be appreciated
SFS doesn’t publish separate numbers, but the admission standards are notably lower than for the College. You don’t say whether the 3.7 is W or UW or give any test scores, which will obviously be relevant. You have nice things on your ECs, and it looks as though you have a second language and some maths (both of which they like).
Also, please don’t use so many ALL CAPS!
My test Scores are…
SAT: 1540 (1600)
ACT: 34
SAT Subject Tests:
World History: 720
English: 730
Spanish: 700
My GPA is unweighted
*misspoke- admissions rate is notably lower for SFS / standards are higher
