Georgetown School of Foreign Service vs. the College

Hey everyone,

I'm just trying to finalize my college list and had a question:

Should I choose to apply to Georgetown School of Foreign Service or the Georgetown College?

I want to study international relations and may even focus on an area (eastern europe or middle east). However, my career goals seem to be something to do with Media or NGOs.

I am from Turkey. My extracurriculars are really related to int relations and social sciences in general. (MUN, Journalism, Summer School in Social Sciences, French etc.) My SAT reasoning is 2120 (680 R 680 W 760 M) and I have 3 Subject Tests (IC 750, IIC 800, French 730) as well as 2 self-study AP scores (4 World History 3 Comp Gov.)

I don't want you to chance me or anything, but please reply if you know anything about the difference between the selectivity rates / tenderness to accept internationals student etc. of both schools.

well, I actually visited Gtown today, and the admissions official said that the college has the lowest acceptance rate since the most kids apply there. I don’t know any numbers, but I trust him to know what he’s talking about

SFS is slightly more difficult to get into, but your international relations interests peg you here. I would recommend that you would apply here!

all the acceptance rates are 18% so you should just apply to the SFS

Thank you  I am applying to SFS  I hope I’ll get accepted !
