It's not the stongest app that I've ever seen for Georgetown, but I think you have a middle of the road chance. If you improve your test scores then it will help the weakish ECs.

Tell us more about your ECs. What debate tournaments did you win. What did you do for your internship? When was it? Was it an election year? What events did you plan for your two clubs?

Umm, ok lets start with Debate. I'm not a State Champion but I have came 1st in very competitive regionals several times and placed well at states.

The internship. I started a few years back and helped out extensively for the 2006 elections. I've phone banked, worked in campaign offices, and attended nearly every event nearby. I've been called the "most active campaigner in the state" by certain politicans and citizens. I will be involved this year for the 2008 elections as well. I expect to get a glowing recommendation from my city's Democratic Party chair.

For Young Dems, as president I've been a link between the school and the city's Dem Committee. We've held protests on campus of certain nationwide issues we disagree with. I've had politicians come in and speak to us (and to the school as a whole).

Key Club seems out of place in comparison to the others, but I love it to death. We've raised money for such noble causes such as the recent earthquake in China and the cyclone in Myannmar. On top of that, we've raised more money than any other high school in the WORLD for Unicef. And of course, we spend numerous saturday's volunteering around town whether it be picking up trash on the side of the streets or whatnot. Of course, this seems generic to any key club (other than that I've risen us to #1 in the world in Unicef money), but I have really helped revitalize this city's volunteer force from even outside the school. We've been thanked MANY MANY times for all of our hard work.

Editor-in-chief? It's a real time commitment, but I love it as well. I've placed #1 in State for a few articles and even got recognized by Columbia University.

I'm also planning on interning for the mayor senior year. It's a work in progress.
