I got into both these schools EA and am having a hard time deciding which one I should pick. One day I'm convinced GT is the best place for me and the next day U Chicago seems better. Right now I want to major in something to do with International Studies but that may very well change based on my experiences in college. I want to keep my options for a major open. I am very much into A Capella and debate and would like to pursue both in college. What do you think is my best option. For now let's pretend the cost is not an issue. So finances aside, where do you think I will have the most opportunity to learn and contribute to the community.

If you’re serious about International Studies, Georgetown would definitely be your best bet. What other academic areas would you possibly drift towards? Compare the programs for these at both schools.

As of right now i would definetely say Georgetown because of its strength with the foreign service school. If i were u id go to Georgetown in a heartbeat. but great job in getting in both of the schools…id love to be in your postition.

I’m in SFS. I didn’t even apply to U Chicago. Chicago=fun goes to die. Georgetown=laid back. it’s the school of FOREIGN SERVICE, is it that hard of a decision for an international affairs major?

Georgetown for sure. Even if you decide you don’t like the SFS and decide to switch to the college, it is much more well known and will get you to bigger and better things in the future

I agree with superghuman, SFS is a much better school both in an academic and social sense than UChicago. Not to mention, Washington DC has so much to offer.

Thank you everyone for your input. The other majors I would consider are Economics and History. I know everyone says that Chicago is where fun goes to die but I really do believe it is over-exaggeration. I like both DC and Chicago so that is where my indecision lies. I’m waiting on a couple more RD schools and plan on doing overnights at U Chicago & Georgetown at the very least before I decide.
